Grace Lutheran in downtown Phoenix has a large outreach program to the homeless. One of the many services they provide is handing out water bottles. We will be receiving water bottles to share with them this summer. Place them near the food box by the church entrance. Thank you!!

Tell us about yourself: I am in my third year of studying Biological Sciences out at the Polytechnic campus, I am involved in Barrett and am hoping to go to med school. I love animals, coffee, chocolate and the beach!
Why ASU: It is close to home and gave me a good scholarship.
Tell us about ULC/ LCM (University Lutheran Church/ Lutheran Church Ministry): LCM has been very inviting and accepting and I have loved getting to be a part of it. University Lutheran Church is a very cute small church that has a good atmosphere for college students looking to further their relationship with God. They provide great opportunities for students looking to get involved as well.
Special interests: I am interested in biology and sciences. I love the beach and the outdoors, or any type of adventuring. I have always had a passion for music and I love volunteering with little kids.
Best part of the school year so far? Getting to watch the jumbo-tron of the football stadium from my friends apartment at University House instead of standing in the hot football stadium.
Arizona Republic Covers the Installation of Rev. Deborah Hutterer
Lauren Castle of the Arizona Republic, September 16, 2018, writes:

“I really got to understand this sense of inclusivity and hospitality, and this is what Jesus is about,” she said.
In junior high, she talked with her pastor about her call to ministry. However, she did not receive the response she was hoping for.
“He said, ‘Oh, women, aren’t ordained. You should go be a school teacher or a social worker,'” she recalled.
