Palm Sunday is March 24th and we need palms! Preferred are the date palm type (sometimes called Egyptian Palms) with long, curved palm branches. We can work with fan palms/Washington Palms if needed. Let us know (info@ulctempe.org or 480.967.3543). Thank you!
The University Lutheran Church (ULC) Young Adults are heading to New Orleans in July for a Young Adult Retreat.
Due to the expense of the retreat, Bryan Gamelin, ULC Young Adult Coordinator, along with other ULC Young Adults, have mailed out letters in effort to raise funds to cover these expenses. They set a goal of raising $4,000.00.
We are happy to report that they have raised almost $3,000.00! We are hoping to exceed the $4,000.00 goal so there will be minimal to no out-of-pocket expense. Thank you for your very generous donations.
If you would like to make a donation for the young adults who will be attending, you may do so on our website. Please scroll to: LCM Individual Gifts and in the “Note” section—put Young Adult Gathering. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Acts 4:32-35: “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.” (NRSV)
How is God showing up during our transition at University Lutheran and Lutheran Campus Ministry? God shows up all the time in people’s lives even during times of change. Last week Dylan Weeks, Paul Westermann, and Chris Sandoval were invited to share about Lutheran Campus Ministry at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa. Last December, members of this congregation generously supported our Lefse fundraiser. Dylan, Paul and Chris enjoyed a soup supper, being in community with another group of God’s people and sharing their stories with those who had gathered for the midweek Lenten service. Following the service, they shared about LCM and answered questions regarding our congregation, the weekly meals and our community. I believe folks enjoyed learning about the ways LCM impacts students and young adults in our community. Thanks be to God.
In Christ,
Pastor Arhiana
