Mid-Week Lenten Worship

Mid-week Lenten worship will be each Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary or via live stream:

  • February 21
  • February 28
  • March 6
  • March 13
  • March 20

Please note: we will not have mid-week Lenten service on Wednesday, March 27th. We will be having dinner church at 5:30 pm in the Campus Center. Everyone is welcome.

Maundy Thursday worship will be March 28th at 6:30 pm. Good Friday worship will be March 29th at 7:00 pm (please note time change for this service). All worship services will be in our sanctuary or live streamed on our website (www.ulctempe.org). Thank you!

Treasurer Position

We are looking for a Treasurer. MaryBeth LaMont has been doing a great job as our Treasurer, but she will be stepping down from that role. (She will continue as our church Secretary.) The main duties for the Treasurer are:

• Preparing monthly financial reports and attending monthly ULC Council meetings
• Overseeing all the funds
• Assisting ULC Council with annual budget
• Creating and presenting a brief Treasurer’s report for the annual meeting
• Filing monthly/annual taxes/W-2s
• Writing a few checks as needed (MaryBeth will remain on account and will also be able to assist with this.)

This is a paid position that requires approximately 10 hours a month. Please contact the office (info@ulctempe.org or 480-967-3543) if you are interested. Thank you.

Feb. 11 Forum – Continuing Bible Study in Time of Transition: Acts

On Sunday, February 11, at 9:15 am, we will be continuing our study of Acts. This is the second in a series of three Bible studies that University Lutheran Church member Scott Boyden is leading about the book of Acts and how it is relevant to our church as we go through a transition and call for a new pastor. Come join for a lively and engaging discussion.

The forum will be held in the Campus Center Library and via Zoom.

  • Ash Wednesday/Valentine’s Day/AZ Statehood Day.
  • 5:00 pm LCM Bible Study (Campus Center or via Zoom).
  • 5:30 pm Free Student Meal (Campus Center or Grab N Go).
  • 6:30 pm Ash Wednesday Worship with the imposition of ashes (Sanctuary or via Live Stream).

Thursday, February 15

  • 6:00 pm Women’s Bible Study (Zoom).
  • 8:00 pm AA (Campus Center).
