Church Library
There are many books of various interests in our church library. Check them out! Books on the Bible, various Bible translations and commentaries, books of theology and church history, and books on personal issues such as grief. Some are new, some are classices. Pastor Gary also is happy to lend from his own personal library. Here are this month’s selections:
“When a Father Loses a Son” by former Presiding Bishop of the ELCA and AZ resident, Herb Chilstrom. It is a touching story of one father’s journey through grief.
“Words for Silence: A Year of Contemplative Meditations” by South African Bishop and Civil Rights Leader Desmond Tutu
“The Quest for the Historical Jesus” by Dr. Albert Schweitzer, a physician, missionary, and New Testament Scholar. A classic that has remained in print for over 110 years!
“The Cry of Tamor :Violence Versus Women and the Church’s Response” by Pamela Cooper -White, a Lutheran pastor and author
