Tell us about yourself: I am in my third year of studying Biological Sciences out at the Polytechnic campus, I am involved in Barrett and am hoping to go to med school. I love animals, coffee, chocolate and the beach!
Why ASU: It is close to home and gave me a good scholarship.
Tell us about ULC/ LCM (University Lutheran Church/ Lutheran Church Ministry): LCM has been very inviting and accepting and I have loved getting to be a part of it. University Lutheran Church is a very cute small church that has a good atmosphere for college students looking to further their relationship with God. They provide great opportunities for students looking to get involved as well.
Special interests: I am interested in biology and sciences. I love the beach and the outdoors, or any type of adventuring. I have always had a passion for music and I love volunteering with little kids.
Best part of the school year so far? Getting to watch the jumbo-tron of the football stadium from my friends apartment at University House instead of standing in the hot football stadium.

Best part of the school year so far? Going to San Diego for LCM!
I am from Eagan, Minnesota and received 2 BA’s: one in psychology and one in music from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. I am working on my Master’s degree in Music Therapy at ASU hoping to graduate in December, 20018 and beginning my second Master’s degree at ASU in Education Policy.
Why ASU: They have the program I was looking for…which is rare! I also have some family in the area and wanted an adventure into something new. I am delighted to have made this choice!
Tell us about LCM/ULC: I was invited here by a friend (Mikayla Dulaney). I really like the sense of community here and group cohesion. I find it a very re-vitalizing spiritual experience in the middle of the week.
Special interests: I am a musician and play piano and flute. I enjoy research and have enjoyed the Bible studies here. I like going for walks….when it is not 112 and spending time with friends.
What else needs to be said about you?: I love animals I was a softball player and am a bit shy but not antisocial. I am the oldest child in my family.

What is your favorite part of LCM?
My favorite part is worship on Wednesdays, especially the band. Alex leads the best music and I love singing along.
Why would you encourage others to come to LCM?
LCM is full of accepting people who make you feel comfortable and welcomed. There is also always a meal, so that makes you feel at home!
What is your best memory at LCM?
I really enjoyed the California trip in September. One of the days I got to wander around Coronado Island and walk around with Jake. I also had some time to try to finish work with Rachel and Sophie, but we really just hung out. I’m looking forward to it again!
What are you looking forward to next year?
Since I was new this year, I didn’t know anyone! However, next fall, I’m really looking forward to coming back and seeing familiar faces. I can’t wait to hear about everyone and their summer adventures!
