Wednesday Night Line-Up Returns

Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM) returned on Wednesday, January 10th. We have a Bible study at 5:00 pm followed by a free student meal at 5:30 pm (both in our Campus Center) and contemporary worship at 6:30 pm (sanctuary).

Our theme for January is: “Who Does God Call To Accomplish God’s Purposes?” with the following scripture readings:

  • January 10: Genesis 6:5-22
  • January 17: Joshua 2:1-24
  • January 24: Ruth 1:1-18, 4:13
  • January 31: Exodus 3:7-4:18

Lutheran Day At The Legislature

Lutheran Advocacy Ministry Arizona (LAMA) invites you to participate in the pivotal event, “Lutheran Day at the Legislature,” on January 18, 2024. This gathering at the Arizona Capitol is a powerful opportunity for Lutherans and allies to advocate for critical issues and connect with legislative leaders. As we prepare to raise our voices for justice and peace, LAMA offers a wealth of resources to get involved. From preparatory meetings to promotional materials, everything you need can be found on the event’s resource page. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of shaping the policies that affect our communities and state.

Lutherans and friends of Lutherans from across the state will gather at the Arizona Capitol in Wesley Bolin Plaza for a day of advocacy on Thursday, January 18, 2023 from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm to learn, to witness, eat! and voice our common needs in the public square, activating our faith in love. Register for Lutheran Day at the Legislature 2024.

Wesley Bolin Plaza (download map) is in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. We gather on the West side of 17th Avenue. The Capitol Parking Lot is at 1798 W Jefferson St #1750, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Parking is available from W. Adams Street as well as from W. Jefferson Street–also accessible by bus.

Sunday Forums Return

Our first forum for 2024 will be on January 21st. University Lutheran Church (ULC) member, Ray Kimball, will present information on the Make Election Fair initiative. He is a registered volunteer canvasser for the initiative.

The forum is scheduled for Sunday, January 21, at 9:15 am in the Campus Center Library or via Zoom. Watch our website, email, and e-newsletter for when the next forum is scheduled.
